the 2014-2015 School Year!

Adult Department Summer Camps

1st Camp: "A Day at the Beach"  June 2 - 12  

This camp kicks off the start of summer with a family picnic held here on the grounds of Center for Possibilities.  Each day of this fun filled camp will be loaded with sensory activities and crafts!

2nd Camp:  "Photography Camp"  June 16 - 26

Students will experience the fun of picture taking!  With the use of our iPads the students will learn to take abstract pictures, capture the beauty of nature, run fun photo booths, and more!

3rd Camp:  "Road Trip" July 7 - 17

Each day students will travel to a different state in this Great Country we call America!  A suitcase full of necessities will begin each day, as the students are encouraged to guess the destination!

4th Camp:  "The Center's Got Talent!" July 21 - 31

This fun and exciting camp will develop and showcase the talents of our students!  Students will be performing with dance, song and participating in various skits!  These performances will be the highlights of our upcoming Talent Show.  This show will be open to the public!

Mission and Purpose

The mission of Center for Possibilities is to improve the quality of life for children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families.  Center for Possibilities believes that a person’s worth is not diminished by a disability and that people with disabilities are entitled to full life experiences. Our goals are to:

  • Increase access to quality programs by removing financial and enrollment barriers
  • Increase level of independence/highest level of functioning of our students
  • Decrease feelings of loneliness and isolation for students and their families
  • Increase awareness of programs/services for people with disabilities and their families
  • Increase community awareness of the needs and abilities of people with physical and cognitive disabilities
  • Decrease stress on families/caregivers providing long-term care of children/adults with developmental disabilities

Center for Possibilities is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 and is governed by a Board of Directors.  Our legal name is Cerebral Palsy of Northwest Indiana DBA Center for Possibilities.
