"Center for Possibilities has truly been a God send for our daughter, Raine Danielle White and our entire family. When Raine first began at Center for Possibilities she was not walking and it was not looking as if she ever would. She communicated...sometimes. We were basically playing a guessing game for her wants and needs. Raine's affect was flat. She rarely showed expressions. Rarely a smile and a cry that you could barely hear. So needless to say I was very apprehensive about leaving my baby in the care of strangers. How will they know her wants? How will they know and supply her needs? Will they get frustrated with her? Will they neglect her and leave her to just be? Those fears were quickly dispelled. The first day we took Raine to school we were welcomed with smiles and well wishes. Then we were lovingly kicked out! That was two years ago. Raine is now 4 years old. She not only walks, she runs. Raine has flourished into a little person full of personality and mischief. (Thanks Center!) I must say that the entire staff at of Center for Possibilities plays an important role in my daughter's success. Not only did they help my daughter but they helped and enriched our entire family. Center for Possibilities' entire staff will forever hold a special place in the heart of myself and my entire family. We love you and we thank you!!" "The Center for Possibities has changed our family in many positive ways. Douglas has absolutely blossomed. He has become much more adventurous. He has tried different foods and so many activities. Things we had tried to get him interested in without much success. Some things that we didn't even consider such as going outside to play ball. In fact when we were told he was going outside, it was really hard to believe because we can not even get him to come outside and sit on the deck outside of our kitchen. Douglas is always dressed and ready to go to the Center in the morning and looks forward to the different daily activities. He also seems to be much more engaged in daily life. He talks about his friends and the staff at the Center, about how nice they are to him and how when he needs a helping hand, someone is always there to help. It is such a relief to me to know that when I drop him off at the Center, he is happy to be there. When we pull into the parking lot, he often says "I'm back." The Center is important to Douglas because it is a place he can call his own. A place he feels safe and comfortable. A safe place to learn and grow. My husband and I are very grateful for the Center and the staff, who are caring and generous in spirit. A combination that is an incredible blessing for our family. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts." Valerie DeBusk, guardian of Douglas Upchurch, Adult Student at Center for Possibilities | |
I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the level of care and education Erica Stalling has received at the Center for Possibilities. Your school has provided Erica with an immense education geared toward independent living and increased awareness of self and self-esteem, organizational and inter-personal skills, as well as faith building and awareness. She has truly evolved into a more caring, understanding, critical thinking person and has even show political awareness. All stemming from the quality, nuturing care and experiences she has and hopes to contine receiving at The Center for Possibilities. Your name says it all!
